Hello! I'm Howl, A.K.A. Athena; currently a 22 year old who prefers they/them pronouns. I'm a junior at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), majoring in dramatic writing with a minor in animation. I was originally a 2D animation major for my first two years before switching to an Animated Character Design major for a short period, then switched to my current major for my sanity and to suit my personal needs.I began taking art seriously sometime in 2015-16 during middle school, and ever since, have been gradually trying to improve my skill! Thoughtforms: Beyond the Nowhere is a personal, autobiographical comic about my 10 year experience as a host of my own thoughtforms. The narrative follows the stories of my thoughtforms lives and their own journeys, all under my own perspective, naturally. Of which I've had 12 in total throughout my time, and 5 currently remain.Webtoons - ComicFury - Patreon

The comic starts where it all began in 2014 when I was 11 years old. The demon, Damien (center), who had plagued me and sought harm, was finally defeated by his sister thoughtform, Luna (left.)
The dispute, however, was not settled there. Damien reemerged, and this time he isn't alone. These thoughtforms haven't a clue of what they really are yet, and are referred to as 'imaginary friends.'

"What is a thoughtform?"Basically, a thoughtform is like a sentient imaginary friend. A thoughtform is a separate, sentient being created and inhabited within depths of one's mind, devoid from physical reality. An interpersonal relationship is usually built between its creator (often referred to as a host or vessel) and the being itself.You may have heard of 'tulpas'. Though they are closely linked, the term 'thoughtforms' and 'tulpas' should not be used interchangeably. 'Tulpas' refer to the Tibetan Buddhist spiritual practice of creating and connecting with a thoughtform, though the concept of a thoughtform is not inherently religious. The term 'tulpas' is overwhelmingly misused and often culturally appropriated.I have never personally chosen to involve myself with religious practice, with or without thoughtforms. The term 'tulpas' had never even been introduced to me until about a year ago when I finally sought for a better definition of my experiences than just 'imaginary friend'. I will never use the word 'tulpas' unless explicitly referring to the religious practice, and due to this, the use or mention of the word 'tulpa' will be nearly obsolete. I intend to give as much respect and care on tulpa representation as I can.

Want help creating a character or revising an old design? I can create one by scratch with your direction. Every design will differ in price due to uniqueness, complexity and amount of concept work done. The final design (at minimum) will be one clean-lined and colored full-body showcasing the design. Any extras can be discussed before beginning.If this purchase is paired with a reference sheet or any commission using said design, you will get 20% off on the price of that commission!NOTE: All thoughtform designs are solely created by myself, thus also can be examples.

TERMS OF SERVICE

You must be 16 or older to commission, or with a parent/guardian’s permission. Proof of permission will need to be shown and validated if under 15.I have the right to decline a commission for any reason.Payment must be sent before I start on the commission, otherwise I will not work on it.I only accept PayPal and Venmo, and must be sent in USD. Please Google any currency conversions if needed.All invoices must be paid within 48 hours of being sent.You must provide a clear SFW digital reference sheet/pictures of your pet.Ask me about fan-art!Once I send a sketch of the commission, I will no longer accept refunds.I will make minor changes, however a fee will be presented if one or multiple large changes are made. Once the piece is finished I will not do anymore changes.I accept payment plans in two parts, however your commission won’t be finished until the payment plan is complete.Please tell me in advance if there is a due date you would like a piece done by. I will only accept due dates at least 2 weeks in advance so I do not rush the piece.You may not resell a commission piece unless you are selling the character/s drawn and the piece boosts the character’s value.I do accept holds.You may not repost, resell, trace or reference any commission on any social media platform.Turnaround time is approximately 1-2 weeks, depending on the commission type.Any cryptocurrency reproduction of my artwork (including but not limited to NFTs), is strictly forbidden in any way and you will be blocked, blacklisted, and reported to the appropriate social media/website. I will file a copyright claim if I have to. I do not support cryptocurrency and will take necessary action to protect my art and rights if need-be.
